Through the purchase of this book "Restoring Sacred Relations", readers help support organizations restoring forests, ecosystems, and our sacred relationship with the living Earth.
A portion of the proceeds from this book supports TreeSisters, a global movement devoted to tropical reforestation, ecological restoration, and the renewal of humanity’s relationship with Earth.
Through ethical, community-led planting projects, many centered around the leadership and empowerment of women and Indigenous communities, TreeSisters helps restore biodiverse forests, protect ecosystems and wildlife habitats, and nurture a culture of reciprocity, reverence, and care for the living world. Their work reminds us that restoring forests goes beyond planting trees, it is about restoring relations.”
Additional restoration initiatives supported through this book include SeaTrees, a global movement dedicated to restoring and protecting vital coastal ecosystems such as mangrove forests, kelp forests, coral reefs, and seagrass meadows, helping regenerate ocean biodiversity, absorb carbon, and protect marine life and coastal communities.
Support is also extended to Tree-Nation’s “Bear Groves in Transylvania” project, which works to restore climate-damaged forests in Romania through the planting of native tree species, helping preserve essential habitat for wildlife, especially bears, and strengthen the resilience of ancient forest ecosystems.
Another initiative being supported is Tree-Nation’s “Trees for Tigers" project in India, focused on restoring habitat surrounding Similipal National Park, one of India’s oldest tiger reserves and home to black tigers, elephants, and many other remarkable species whose survival depends on healthy and protected ecosystems.
Through each print book purchase, readers become part of these collective reforestation and restoration efforts, helping give back to Earth in a living and tangible way.
